Step 1: Detangle

Start by gently detangling your hair extensions using a wide-tooth comb or a detangling brush. Work from the ends of the hair upwards to prevent breakage and damage.

Step 2: Cleanse

Wash the hair extensions with a sulfate-free shampoo and lukewarm water. Be gentle while washing to avoid tangling and matting. Focus on the roots and scalp area, and avoid rubbing the lengths of the hair excessively.

Step 3: Condition

Apply a generous amount of conditioner to the lengths and ends of the hair extensions. Use a wide-tooth comb to distribute the conditioner evenly and detangle any remaining knots. Leave the conditioner on for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly with cool water.

Step 4: Hydrate

Apply a leave-in conditioner or hair serum to the damp hair extensions to add moisture and nourishment. Focus on the mid-lengths and ends of the hair, where dryness tends to occur more frequently. Avoid applying too much product to prevent weighing down the hair.

Step 5: Air Dry

Allow the hair extensions to air dry naturally whenever possible. If you need to use heat styling tools, apply a heat protectant spray beforehand to minimize damage. Avoid excessive heat and use low to medium heat settings to style the hair extensions gently.
